Henare Uru

Henare Whakatau Uru (1872–1929) was a Māori of Ngāi Tahu and a Reform Party Member of Parliament in New Zealand.

He won the Southern Maori electorate in the 1922 Southern Maori by-election after the death of his brother John Hopere Wharewiti Uru,[1] and held it to 1928 when he was defeated by Tuiti Makitanara.[2]
